Dr. Tam Perry, Dr. Faith Hopp, and Vanessa Rorai presented at the RoBUST Fall Symposium at Wayne State University, titled "Addressing the Needs of Older Detroiters: The School of Social Work Urban Aging and Health Affinity Group".
Dr. Faith Hopp, Dr. Anwar-Najor Durack, Dr. Fay Keys, and Dean Cheryl Waites presented a one-hour workshop at the Council on Social Work Education Annual Program Meeting in Denver, CO. The workshop was titled "Urban Aging and Health: Creating a Gerontology Affinity Group".

Dr. Tam Perry participated in the Semester in Detroit University of Michigan Digging Deeper into Detroit’s Downtown “Boom” Panel. Her presentation was titled, “Senior Housing in the Motor City.”
Dr. Tam Perry was invited to give the Levande Memorial Lecture at Michigan State University titled, “The Link Between Well-Being & Home in Older Adulthood.”
Dr. Tam Perry was invited to represent the Michigan Center for Urban African American Aging at the 2015 Annual Investigators Meeting of the Resource Centers for Minority Aging Research, University of California Davis. Her talk is titled “Changing Urban Landscapes: Experiences of Older Detroiters.”

Dr. Tam Perry was part of a Gerontological Society of America delegation to Shanghai, China where she presented a paper titled, “Health and Housing in Older Adulthood: Key issues and Concerns” sharing her work on the MCUAAAR pilot study and John A. Hartford grant to an international scientific community.
Dr. Tam Perry gave a talk at the MCUAAAR Summer Training Workshop titled, “Scientific Inquiry and Community Engagement: Designing. Conducting and Disseminating Research with Community Partners.”
Dr. Tam Perry gave a research presentation to WSU CURES (Center for Urban Responses to Environmental Stressors) investigators.

Dr. Faith Hopp, Dr. Tam Perry, and Vanessa Rorai will be presenting at the Researchers of Biobehavioral Health in Urban Settings Today (RoBUST) Symposium on Friday, October 9th, 2015. The presentation will discuss the current research project and the development of the Affinity Group.
Dr. Faith Hopp, Dean Waites, Dr. Anwar Najor-Durack, and Dr. Fayetta Keys will be presenting a one-hour workshop at the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Annual Program Meeting in Denver, CO on October 17th, 2015. The workshop is focused on the Urban Aging and Health Affinity Group's creation, development, progress, and future direction.
Dr. Tam Perry will be presenting at the Ending Homelessness Summit in Livonia, Michigan on October 29th, 2015. The poster is titled "Surviving in Detroit: Older Adult Men who Experienced Homelessness after the Death of a Parent" and is co-authored with Luke Hassevoort, MSW, Common Ground, and Justin Petrusak, LMSW (Macro and Clinical).
